Bear & Cub, one of Hunters’ newest and most exciting duos, are a father and son team. Their music ranges from relaxed acoustic tunes to upbeat rock and dance numbers. Their goal is simple: to deliver an energetic and entertaining performance that leaves audiences wanting more. Darren Brollo - Drummer/Percussionist Darren Brollo, a drummer and percussionist with an impressive depth of experience, has been playing drums for as long as he can remember. As a founding member of Lo-tel, he achieved two ARIA nominations for Best New Artist Album – ‘Planet of The Stereos’ and Best New Artist Single – ‘Teenager Of The Year’. ‘Teenager Of The Year’ was also featured in the film ‘Looking for Alibrandi’ and reached number one on the ARIA charts. Darren has toured with many artists, including Jacob Butler, Morgan Evans, Betamax, Bright Light Soldiers, State of Grace and currently plays with local legend Dean Kyrwood in Ghost Town and The Luke J Holland Band. Highly regarded in the industry, Darren has always been passionate about drum education and is the Principal of The dbmusic Drum Academy. Luigi Brollo - Singer/Guitarist Luigi Brollo, an up-and-coming musician, has always had a passion for music. Growing up in a musical family, he began playing at a very young age, performing in his first musical stage concert at just two years old. He completed his HSC at The Hunter School of the Performing Arts (HSPA) and studied drums, guitar, keys, bass and vocals. No stranger to the stage, Luigi has played in many local bands, including Customer Service, Artificial Banana Flavour (who won Bandwidth in 2023), Luke J Holland, Steel City Outlaws and Industry Plant. Currently, Luigi is teaching music at The dbmusic Drum Academy and Upbeat Music School.
