David Andrews
SOLODave Andrews is a born and raised Hunter Valley local who has forged a successful 25-year career as a leading vocalist and musician. As a 17 year he was a soloist in the Hunter’s Star Struck and the Sydney School Spectacular. He graduated from the highly acclaimed Talent Development Project in 1998 in Sydney headed by industry renowned Musical Director Mary Lopez. From there he enjoyed the musical freedoms of a freelance vocalist, providing backing vocals for a touring Jackie Love, recording contracted original songs at Sony Music Studios, and adapting his musical styling to 2UE radio as a session vocalist. In 2004 he headlined Newcastle’s Ultra Swing Lounge which toured regionally and produced a well-received live album. In 2008 he joined the Australian Army Band Corps which saw him performing to the likes of Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham and even the Governor General at the time, Quinton Bryce. His Army Band career also landed Dave overseas at multiple locations including Afghanistan where he serenaded allied soldiers from all around the globe.
